Beatlemania!

The Beatles come to America with this 60th Anniversary Classical Mystery Tour. Join us on April 20, 2024, at 7:00 PM to experience this once-in-a-lifetime concert. Hear from a fantastic Beatles cover band, accompanied by the stunning and musically powerful La Porte County Symphony Orchestra. All of the Fab Four’s greatest hits will make an appearance at this concert. Grab the Beatles fanatics in your life and head to Beatlemania at the La Porte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge St., La Porte, IN 46350. 

Side-by-Side with Local Music Educators

Join the LCSO on February 10, 2024, for this incredible concert featuring local music educators playing alongside LCSO musicians. Local middle and high school orchestra and band educators and private teachers from the Region join the LCSO in this concert. Come find your current or former teacher as a member of the Orchestra for this evening! Celebrating Black History Month, the LCSO will perform the music of William Grant Still, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor and Scott Joplin. Season Concert #3

Attend this stunning concert on March 10, 2024, at 3:00 PM, featuring guest composer Dr. Ingrid Stoelzel. Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Stoelzel came to the US in 1991, where her music gained worldwide notoriety. Dr. Stolzel will be joined by our own Principal Flutist, Aleksandra Kemble. The concert will open with Brahms’s “Academic Festival Overture,” followed by Dr. Stoelzel’s “City Beautiful.” Ms. Kemble will be featured on the melodious and demanding “Concertino for Flute” by Cécile Chaminade. The concert will conclude with Dvorak’s powerful Symphony #8. This is one moving and compelling concert you won’t want to miss. Outside of these extraordinary concerts, the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra is excited to host additional music-centric events in the spring. These events benefit the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra and provide even more opportunities to take your musical genius to the next level. Take part in a musical discussion on January 9, 2024, on Leading the Next Generation of Musicians, featuring Valparaiso University’s Dr. Jeff Doebler and Bethel Univerisity’s Prof. Steve Allen. We’ll meet at Bethany Lutheran Church, 102 G St., La Porte, IN 46350, at 12:00 PM. For gaming fun, join us for Music Trivia on May 14, 2024, at 12:00 PM. We’ll be at Swingbelly’s Restaurant, 3101 US12, Michigan City, IN 46360. Winners will get prizes and bragging rights!
