Luke Housman is a 16-year-old sophomore from Rensselaer who absolutely loves to be onstage performing. He is thrilled, honored, and thankful to have been chosen as a Hoosier Star 2022 finalist, and to be given the opportunity to perform with the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra.
He has been seen in numerous theatre productions across Northwest Indiana and was recently crowned the Senior Division champion of “Region’s Got Talent 2022” in Wheeler. Some of his notable performances include Michael Banks in Mary Poppins, Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and last summer, made his debut at the LaPorte Little Theatre Club in High School Musical Onstage.
He is a member of his high school’s show choir and has earned several gold medals at ISSMA contests, as well as a blue ribbon for his solo performance at the vocal jazz competition in February.
