Hannah Reitz

Assistant Conductor

Hannah Reitz is currently pursuing a DMA in Violin Performance and Literature at UIUC where she studies with Professor Meg Freivogel of the Jupiter Quartet. In demand as an educator, she has worked as coach and conductor with various young string symphonies and All-State orchestras throughout the country. Currently, she directs Illini Strings at UIUC, and has served as Assistant Director of the UNH Youth Symphony Orchestra, Resident Artist of Violin/Viola and Lecturer at the University of New Hampshire, a UNH SYMS instructor, and presently is a coordinator and lead teacher with the ICMA programs at UIUC. Hannah has performed with the Pierre Monteux School Festival, AIMS in Graz Festival Orchestra, National Repertory Orchestra, Lincoln Symphony, Charleston Symphony, Symphony New Hampshire, Sinfonia da Camera, and CUSO. She has additionally been selected as a conducting masterclass participant in festivals and workshops with Ludovic Morlot, Donald Schleicher, and Keith Lockhart, and served as cover conductor for Symphony New Hampshire for their 2019 season.
