Emily Yiannias is a classical soprano, active chamber musician, and former Adjunct Professor of Voice at Valparaiso University and the University of Notre Dame. She regularly appears with Music of the Baroque in Chicago, one of the nation’s premier chamber ensembles presenting works of the 18th century. After 15 years as a working musician, the pandemic inspired her to pursue a new path in the non-profit fundraising world. She holds degrees from DePauw University (Bachelor of Music, cum laude) and Northwestern University Bienen School of Music (Master of Music), as well as the Graduate Certificate in Philanthropic Fundraising from the Lily Family School of Philanthropy at IUPUI. As a fundraiser, Emily has worked for Opportunity Enterprises in Valparaiso, where she was an integral part of the development team and lead event fundraiser, most notably raising over $400,000 at the organization’s annual Gala in 2023. Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, but a resident of Valparaiso since 2010, Emily is a born and bred Hoosier and loves Northwest Indiana and all it has to offer!
