Alyse Aimes is a high school student who has just recently began playing flute for the LCSO. When Alyse began her high school career, she fell in love with music and was inspired to get involved when the high school came to perform at her elementary school. The directors brought positive and fun energy to the school and helped show her the rewarding aspects of music.
Alyse is enjoying being involved in several music opportunities, as well as service opportunities. She is involved in the marching band, jazz band, and pep band at La Porte High School and has also been a part of IBA honor bands and the 2019 NBA All-State Marching Band. She has also participated in local solo and ensemble music competitions for many years and was recently inducted into the Tri-M Music Honor Society.
Alyse is also passionate about giving back to her community and spends much of her additional free time helping others. She works part-time for the LPCSC Child Care Program, where she spends time doing crafts and other activities with elementary children. She is involved in a service organization called Girl Reserves in which the group does various service projects around the community and partakes in activities to better the world. She is also a member of the National Honors Society and Interact Club.
While Alyse has just begun her career with the LCSO, she says that her favorite part of being in the ensemble is having the opportunity to surround herself with musicians that push her to grow personally and musically while also encouraging her to meet others who are passionate about music.
