Aaron Hummel has been a percussionist in the LCSO for three years. He originally began his musical career with learning how to play the trumpet, but transitioned into percussion, being drawn to the challenge of playing different instruments.
When Aaron is not busy making music, he works as an IT technician at Dwyer Instruments in Michigan City and has his A+ certification. In his free time, you can find him watching sports, working on computers, reading, and driving around as a Lyft or Uber driver.
Aaron has performed with the Michigan City Band and has been apart of The Messiah production in Michigan City. He is also currently apart of his church orchestra, where he mainly plays timpani.
What Aaron enjoys most about the LCSO is the challenge that accompanies the variety of music that the orchestra performs.
