The next set of Drayton Family Education Concerts will be….

LCSO + Carnegie Hall's Weill music institute
The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra is excited to announce that the 38th Annual Drayton Family Education Concerts is in partnership with Carnegie Halls’ Weill Music Institute to present the Link Up program “The Orchestra Moves”. This year’s concerts will take place on Wednesday, October 14th at 9:30 am, 11:10 am, and 12:45 pm. LCSO’s music director, Dr. Carolyn Watson, will lead this year’s concerts. These concerts provide music education to around 5,000 students and educators from Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan.

The LCSO thanks the Health Foundation of La Porte, Everwise Credit Union, Dr. Mark and Mrs. Judy Jacobi, Walmart #2276, David and Dr. Linda Sirugo, Kappa Kappa Kappa of La Porte, LaPorte County Bar Association, and an anonymous donor for their support of these concerts. Because of their sponsorship, the LCSO is able to only charge $1 per student to attend.
We would also like to thank Michael Drayton and the staff of Drayton, Biege, Sirugo & Elliott, LLP, for their incredible service of contacting schools, collating education guides, taking reservations, and handling all the seating for our annual Children’s Concerts. For 38 years, these wonderful people have been giving their time and talent to enable the success of these concerts.
The excellence of the LCSO’s educational outreach is significant for the area and these concerts have been recognized as one of the most successful concerts in the nation by the American String Teachers Association and the National School Orchestra Association.
