For a Holiday Concert in 2006, a community children's chorus was formed.  For two years, under the direction of an experienced children's choir director, Matt Nelson, this group enthusiastically presented holiday song accompanied by the orchestra.  With a passion for youth enrichment, the 2009-10 LCSO season will include this children's choir at two concerts. These young singers will be given the opportunity to have a positive experience on stage with the orchestra while they are learning fundamental group singing techniques that they can use lifelong.

With a desire to encourage music enrichment, the coming concert season includes the use of a community children's chorus at two season concerts. These young singers will be given the opportunity to have performance experience while they are learning fundamental singing techniques that they can use lifelong.

Tuesday, February 9 at 6:00 pm.

If your child is in Grade 2 – 5, he or she can join this children’s choir, directed by Matthew Nelson. They will sing at the April 17, 2010 Pops concert with the orchestra.

At the April Pops concert there will be a variety of fun, uplifting fair and summer themed songs.  There will be opportunities for solos, as well as, group singing.

What a combination of opportunities to learn fundamental techniques, grow friendships and have the opportunity to perform on a stage with the extraordinary La Porte County Symphony Orchestra!
